Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the website at www.thomaschase.com and to the public download page for Toolbox for Windows. The current entity responsible for this site and Toolbox is Thomas Chase Gullett. That entity name may be updated later.

Information Collected

Toolbox for Windows does not require a website account, payment account, mailing list signup, or profile to download the software. For Toolbox downloads, the intentionally retained technical record is the IP address associated with the download request, along with standard web server request details such as date, time, requested file, browser user agent, and request status.

The website may also receive normal server log information when pages are visited. This site uses third-party scripts and services, including Google Tag Manager and a SecurityTips embed, which may receive standard browser and request information under their own policies.

How Information Is Used

Download and server records are used to deliver the website and Toolbox installer, maintain security, diagnose technical problems, understand basic download activity, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Personal information is not sold. Toolbox download records are not used for advertising profiles.

Google Drive API And Google Picker API

If Toolbox for Windows uses Google Drive API or Google Picker API features, those features are intended only to let a user choose, open, upload, or work with files that the user selects or authorizes for a visible Toolbox feature.

• Toolbox will request only the Google permissions needed for the visible feature being used.
• Toolbox will not use Google Drive as a large-scale content delivery network, storage-limit workaround, cryptocurrency mining tool, or unauthorized copyrighted-content distribution service.
• Toolbox will not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
• Toolbox will not transfer Google user data except as needed to provide or improve the user-facing feature, for security, to comply with law, or with the user's consent.
• Humans will not read Google user data unless the user affirmatively asks for help with specific data, access is necessary for security, access is required by law, or the data has been aggregated or anonymized.

Toolbox's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Toolbox is also intended to comply with the Google APIs Terms of Service, the Google Drive API Terms of Service, and applicable Google Picker API requirements.

Retention

Download and server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for site operation, security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

Your Choices

You can choose not to download Toolbox or not to use any Google-connected Toolbox feature. If you authorize Google access, you can revoke that access from your Google Account permissions page.
